FUTURE LEADERS

PROGRAMME 2006-2007

100 young people from all of our groups have participated in our " Future Leaders" programme over the past 12 months starting in summer 2006 and continue to do so running till August 2007.

All groups have now completed 4 Dusk till dawn outdoor activities; 5 Workshops under the theme of building Community Bridges; 2 Reconciliation Day trips to the Falls/Shankill areas of Belfast and educational Site Visits locally in Derry both in cityside and waterside looking at loyalist and republican murals.

We thank those of you who have completed your 50 hours volunteering in the local community and those who have and still continue to accompany us as shadow street outreach workers on a weekly basis.

6 young girls from this group will take part in our Hip-hop programme over 16 weeks.

Dusk Till Dawn programme. Outdoor Living skills with the Northwest Institute.

Site visit to the Workhouse Museum in the Waterside of the city. Educational element to fulfil some soft outcomes.

Older members of this group have been referred to the Reach Across Cross community programme and our own Tullygallford Cross Border Cross Community programme going on residentials throughout 2006, July 2006 will see a residential to Lough Melvin
